TÜV Rheinland and Eyesafe Begin Industry-Leading Blue Light Certification for Upcoming Fall Phone Launches

With over 60-million units certified to-date, TÜV Rheinland and Eyesafe have begun certification of blue light-filtering screen protectors for phones launching later this year. Products are tested by TÜV Rheinland against the Eyesafe® Accessory Requirements 2.0. These requirements were developed with eye care professionals and scientists to provide an industry standard for blue light filtration and color performance.

Eyesafe and TÜV Rheinland Raise the Bar for Blue Light Screen Protectors

This program provides a universal measure to assess blue light hazard on optical films and replaces former requirements measuring filtration across the full blue light spectrum (380 to 500 nm).
