OLED Achieves Industry-Leading Requirements
LG Display OLED panels have received Eyesafe Circadian Certification, which addresses the impact of blue light on sleep. The criterion for this achievement is based on an international standard defined by the CIE System for Metrology of Optical Radiation for ipRGCInfluenced Responses to Light. Displays are tested and assigned a Circadian Protection Factor (CPF). A higher CPF indicates better protection, and LG Display OLED panels have received a Tier 1 rating (CPF>50).
The Eyesafe Circadian Requirements are developed in collaboration with the Eyesafe Vision Health Advisory Board, a distinguished group of leading optometrists and ophthalmologists from around the world. This board comprises experts who specialize in vision health and eye care, bringing together decades of clinical experience and cutting-edge research. Their collective insights ensure that the requirements are grounded in the latest scientific understanding of blue light’s impact on eye health and circadian rhythms.
