Veteran Healthcare Entrepreneur Kyle Rolfing Guides Eyesafe Health Collaborations

MINNEAPOLIS, USA | MARCH 16, 2021

Kyle Rolfing, the Co-Founder and former President of Bright Health, and formerly Co-Founder of Definity Health (acquired by UnitedHealthcare and Redbrick Health, acquired by Virgin Atlantic) brings deep healthcare expertise and innovation to the Eyesafe team.

Rolfing joined Eyesafe as a Senior Advisor and Board Member in 2017. He guides the company’s strategic collaboration with leaders in the healthcare community, including UnitedHealthcare, Humanis and Allianz, to address the issue of screen time and blue light on human health.

“My goal is to continue helping Eyesafe strengthen its positioning within healthcare” says Rolfing. “Eyesafe really steps in as a bridge between the consumer electronics industry and the healthcare industry, in that consumer electronics now are recognized to have a potential negative effect on people from a health perspective because of the emission of blue light.”

Since Rolfing joined Eyesafe in 2017, he has seen the company expand its brand partnerships with consumer electronics leaders like Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, LG Display, ZAGG, BOE and many others. In a shift toward displays designed for human health, manufacturers look to Eyesafe for solutions addressing the #1 consumer pain point when using devices: eye strain. Eyesafe has established the leading standards for low blue light emissions and color performance, gaining broad adoption across the consumer electronics industry.

As screen time peaks above 13 hours a day, taking protective measures to reduce blue light exposure from devices is prudent and appropriate. Eyesafe plays a pivotal role at the intersection of healthcare and consumer electronics, in pursuit of a new class of displays designed for human health.
